Regional do Paço
Choro group · desde 2011
“The circle is open. Anyone who brings an instrument and knows the key can take a seat.”
Formed by musicians who met at the Paço Municipal jam sessions, the regional group became the resident band at Clube dos Lisos and leads the Roda de Choro da Casa every Thursday.
The repertoire includes works by Pixinguinha, Jacob do Bandolim, and Waldir Azevedo, but the group has been dedicating part of its evenings to lesser-known chorão musicians from Pará.
In 2024, the group began recording these live jam sessions, material that is set to be released as an album on the club’s label.
